Dubbed 'the English Riviera,' Devon is definitely in contention for the top spot out of the minibreak destinations in the UK. Make the most of the award-winning beaches, untouched rural regions and quirky coastal towns and cities with our amazing range of Devon self-catering properties!

Why Choose Devon?

Devon is known as the English Riviera for a reason - its southern coastline resembling its picture-postcard-worthy French counterpart, boasting palm trees and award-winning beaches. Ideal if you're looking for a relaxing excursion or a surf-fuelled all-action adventure.

If you're more of a rural rambler than a blissful beachgoer, you can head further north to the Dartmoor National Park where there are 350 square miles of moorland to explore - whether that be on foot or by bike!

Who needs to jet off abroad when you have all this at your fingertips!

Highlight: South West Birdman Competition - Ilfracombe

"Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it appears to be a man in a chicken costume plummeting into the sea!"

The South West Birdman Competition sees daring aviators hurl themselves off Ilfracombe Pier in a bid to fly the furthest (though, the majority plunge straight down into the sea!) and, yes, it's as thoroughly entertaining as it sounds. As well as that, there's also live music, food and cider stalls, and other cool and quirky activities going on.
